Thank You, Thank You
I feel like I probably don't say thank you enough for all the love and support I'm getting as a first-time author. Every single day, I am blown away by kindnesses shown to me in my author's journey, and, honestly, sometimes I wonder how on earth I ever got so lucky.
Three book clubs have selected Odd Job Annie to read. One is here in Monteagle, and I suspect my friend Randa is behind that. Riverdale Teachers are also reading it, and that's got my friend Dawn's fingerprints all over it. My should-have-been neighbor Anna is getting books for her sister's book club in Chicago.
And y'all are sending me pictures of the book from all over the country--Utah, Florida, North Carolina. I'm getting one from California soon too. It's so cool.
My friend Melinda met with the owners of Dapper Owl, the Murfreesboro coffee shop where the next book signing will be and pretty much set that whole thing up. Harley, the owner of Wander Brew in Monteagle, graciously hosted us for the first one.
Jim's spent countless hours on my website. My new friend Steve's shared his considerable knowledge and insight into the scary world of book marketing. Kim's always sending me marketing tips. Greta told me today she's ordering books to put in her tiny home rentals and wanted a QR code in case her vacationers want to order the book. What a great marketing idea.
My editor Lisa got my article picked up in multiple newspapers across the area, and Iva Michelle had me on her TV show and wrote a heck of a review for me. As did Steve and Sam and Tommie and so many of y'all. Those reviews mean so much to me and encourage others to pick up the book.
I can't believe all the dear people who showed up at the book signing in Monteagle. I appreciate every single text or message from those of you who have reached out to tell me you enjoyed the book. It means more than I can ever say.
And I have laughed when some of y'all have texted me in the middle of reading the book with your responses or reactions to something that's happened in the story. It's so fun to see you connecting with these characters and the situations I've put them in.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My life is filled with so many wonderful people, and I truly am one lucky girl.
